Supporting blog for placing Trello on Power BI.
The data behind the Trello board is schemaless and this gives Power BI a problem when writing data models for production. The last thing you or your clients need is to, say, add some labels and not be able to ask questions of it.
Fortunately, there is a really simple way of avoiding this:
- Have an extremely “busy” card on the board.
- Here is an example of a “busy” card: https://trello.com/c/RQQQilh1
- This card has lots of everything and, once that happens, your Power BI board has all of the fields it needs.
